We build partnerships with people and organizations to develop a critical network of resources and relationships that are necessary to support an individual’s transition home after incarceration. These partnerships allow us to strengthen the relationship between college-in-prison and life after incarceration, and include: housing, professional development, continued education, health care, education, food, legal services, and employment.
A speakers bureau has been created to continue learning from our students post-release. Former PEP students and their families speak in classrooms and at public events to address the criminal legal system and incarceration issues. Speakers have offered workshops in K-12 private & public schools, have attended national conferences, and speak regularly in classrooms at NYU.
